Tara Simopoulos
Publisher & Advertising Manager
Tara was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and moved to Cape Elizabeth, along with her husband and two children, in 2010. Tara’s background is in Advertising and Event Management. She worked at the TMP Worldwide advertising agency for several years in Toronto before she left to start a new company with her husband. She is also the owner of her own jewelry business, Fork in the Road. Tara’s passion for Cape Elizabeth shows in all she does for her community. Whether its serving on the Community Services Board or coaching a sports team, she loves Cape Elizabeth and is excited to be at the helm of the Cape Courier.
Marta Girouard
Editor
Marta was born in Poland, moved to France at age three and immigrated to the United States when she was five years old. Raised in Connecticut, she went to college in Massachusetts and lived there for a number of years after graduation. She has a bachelor’s degree in French and master’s degree in communications from Clark University. Marta has worked in communications for a large academic medical center, in international marketing for a hi-tech software company, and most recently in communications for a university. She is currently Editor at The Cape Courier and stay-at-home mom to her young children. She lives in Cape Elizabeth with her family.
Kevin St. Jarre
Community Writer
Kevin served in combat, was elected to municipal office, was a town manager and worked as an IT trainer/consultant for Fortune 500 clients. His teaching and consulting have taken him around the globe. He is currently a teacher at CEHS and a reporter for The Cape Courier. He has an MFA in Creative Writing from the Stonecoast MFA program. His first three novels were published by Berkley Books and is always working on a new novel. His short fiction, essays and poetry have appeared in various journals, including most recently a short story published by Story. Kevin has three children: Laura, Dmitri and Sophia. He lives in Cape Elizabeth with Sophia and his partner Nylah Lyman.
Ginny Blackwood

As a long time resident of Cape Elizabeth, Ginny has always felt the need to give back to the community both during the time her children were in the school system and when she was a working mother. She did this by volunteering both at her church and in community activities.
Ann Kaplan
Photo Finishing
Ann Kaplan has been photographing sports, nursery schools and families since 1993. She enjoys gardening, skiing, golf and travel and has volunteered at The Cape Courier since 2001.
